anxious

Today I thought the Y was closed (it was supposed to be closed until the end of the week, but I found out this morning that it's open now) so I jogged around downtown. I went for longer than I anticipated (about an extra five minutes) because when I looked at my phone it was time to be done so I realized I should start jogging back! I'd never jogged outside before, ever. It was okay -- I think jogging outside is overrated though. I like to have a controlled temperature, and fans, and a locker room (as opposed to the handicapped stall in the Historical Building), and lots of water, and any machine I want, and a TV, and music, and magazines, and...yeah. It's just more enjoyable, I think. Maybe I'm a freak of nature, but that's okay.

Erika and I have been kind of fed up (for lack of better words) with our other roommates lately. I just remembered this as I walked over to turn off the light that one of the girls left on after she rinsed -- in our sink -- the six contagious sores of dead skin holes. They both leave clutter around everywhere -- the kitchen counter, the bathroom counter, the coffee table, etc. Granted, Erika and I are both equally OCD about cleaning, but of all the roommates I've had (which has been a lot!), they've all (with the exception of one) been respectful of other people's space, and they would keep their shit on their side of the room or in their bedroom. I don't know. Like, seriously, why would you leave a pile of dirty dishes on the counter when we have an empty dishwasher to put them in? Or like when one of the girls -- after Erika and I reorganized it so stuff would be easier to access -- seriously spent about five minutes un-organizing it. When I walked into the kitchen and gave her a What-the-fuck look, she said, "I was looking for my corn. I thought it was on the bottom in the back." No, woman! We specifically put your stuff on the top so you could find it easier! How could you not see it? Or when the one took my still-wet laundry out of the dryer (I was at work and forgot I'd left them there, but they were still wet anyway) and flung it in a heap on the couch and just left it there to get wrinkled while she did a load of laundry! Didn't put it back in or anything! Those were my work clothes! Ugh! I realize some people are messy, but I think of some of those things as being a respect type of thing. If someone cleans the entire kitchen, don't go in there five minutes after they leave and leave crumbs and spaghetti sauce all over the oven top. Whatever, I guess. They were the two roommates I didn't pick.
